I am in netowrk with Lyra EAP. If you have another insurance carrier, I can provide you with a Superbill for services and you can submit for Out of Network Benefits. Client are responsible for checking their own benefits prior to starting servces.

What does therapy for a child under 5 look like?

I do "dyadic therapy" for any child under the age of 5, this means that the parent is involved in every session. The parent child relationhip is the key to sucess at this age and I like to enlist the help of the parent to be my "co-therapist" in our sessions. We work together to figure out what triggers your child and what calms your child. We do some skill builidng and relationship building through play. I also do lots of parent support to help you manage things at home and "practice" the new skills you learn in therapy.

Do you work with older kids?

Although I specialize in very young children, I do play therapy with children of all ages. I do however like to consult with the parent prior to treatment to make sure I am a good fit for your family. My goal is to make sure that each family gets the best services for their child, and sometimes that may mean a referral to a therpist that specailizes in another area of mental health.
